CWCC announces nominees for 2012 ATHENA Award | Business

The Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce has 23 nominations for the 2012 ATHENA Award. The finalists and award recipient will be named at the ATHENA Award Gala on April 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency, 650 16th Street in Denver, Colorado 80202.
The ATHENA award honors a Denver woman who strives toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, who excels in their chosen field, devotes time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and forges paths of leadership for other women to follow. Prospective candidates demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession, valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in their community, and assists women in reaching their full leadership potential.

Xcel Energy is the 2012 ATHENA Award Gala premier sponsor alongside ColoradoBiz as the print media partner, KeyBank Key4Women as the Top 100 Women-Owned Business Reception sponsor and Southwest Airlines as the auction sponsor. Tickets for the Gala are $180 for members, $205 for prospective members and $2,000 for a Sponsor Table which includes a seating for ten and company name on the event program. Gala tickets are available online at www.cwcc.org until 5:00 p.m. on April 22. Tickets will not be available at the door.
The emcee for the event is Tamara Banks, Freelance Journalist and President and CEO at TazMedia.
The ATHENA Award Gala is a black tie and dressy cocktail attire event that includes a silent auction and live auction, reception, dinner and awards program. Additionally, Colorado School of Mines will present the 2012 four-year Florence Caldwell Achievement Scholarship recipient at the Gala.
